The Future is Obvious

Yesterday, I gave some food to a friend who was going out by the Calliope encampment.
His son was in the car.
This morning, I got this message:

….God I’m so grateful for that boy.  Wants to go home, get a cheap Sam’s pizza for Friday night, call his friends.  I pull over a block before the bridge.  “Gabriel grab those cookies, hop out the car, give them to those guys over there.”  No hesitation, he’s out the door.  No awkwardness, he is not weirded out or afraid of these two nice old men.  Our collective doom and gloom is premature.  Our generations fucked it all up.  His is going to fix it.
