Normally, we don’t answer the door when a visitor comes every day and definitely not twice in one day.
But, just now, the nicest homeless guy was back in an hour with a very specific ask. He had given most of his haul to some folks down by the river because “not everyone has a bicycle and some can’t even walk.”
I know when someone is running a scam on me, and I could tell by what he asked for, and the way he asked, I didn’t need to look in the bag before I started refilling it, but I did. He knew exactly what he had given away, and what he still needed.
